Police Blotter: Not Wanted, Stolen Water Heater Lid

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Tuesday included the following:

9:39 a.m. A Kalispell restaurant patron called in to say that she thought the cook was the same man who was featured on a news program – which one, she couldn’t remember – as a wanted person. The man is not wanted.

10:47 a.m. A Whitefish resident’s dog was attacked by the neighbor’s dog.

3:10 p.m. A Kalispell business that recently closed up shop has not been giving its customers their money back for orders that were made prior to it closing.

3:40 p.m. Ambulances and fire departments responded to a burglary that was reported from a Kalispell residence.

5:11 p.m. A street sign was stolen off Longwood Drive in Whitefish.

5:30 p.m. A woman on Smith Lake Road called in because she thought someone had broken into her home, gone through her medicine cabinet and stolen the cover off her hot water heater.

5:48 p.m. Someone called in to say that they saw a man wearing a black jacket. They thought he looked weird.

8:59 p.m. A Federal prisoner in The Flathead County Justice Center tore up his T-shirt, tied it around his neck and tried to hang himself from the toilet. The suicide was averted.

11:17 p.m. A man on Lower Valley Road in Kalispell called in to report that someone had just driven their vehicle through his garage.

11:20 p.m. A band of dogs were barking on Haywire Gulch.

The departments responded to 131 calls for service.
