Police Blotter: Neighbor Off Schedule, Siphoned Gas

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

6:40 a.m. Someone broke into a locked vehicle on U.S. Highway 2. Three firearms were taken.

8:43 a.m. A side window was broken out of a vehicle on Mission Trail.

9:35 a.m. Prescription medication was taken out of a vehicle on Woodland Avenue in Kalispell.

10:16 a.m. Another vehicle on Arbour drive was broken into. Nothing was missing.

2 p.m. A 78-year-old woman attempted to steal a bottle of Alleve from ShopKo.

2:22 p.m. A vehicle was egged in Hungry Horse.

3:21 p.m. A concerned resident in Columbia Falls called in to say that a neighbor always parks their car on the street and usually drives it away at some point during the day and returns. However, that day they had not returned.

3:31 p.m. A vehicle on Arbour Drive was broken into. A wallet was stolen.

4:19 p.m. Dogs were loose in Columbia Falls. They were appropriately impounded.

6:44 p.m. A resident on Arbour Drive called in when they noticed that the dome light in their vehicle was on. Nothing was reported missing. The resident’s wife said she remembered a woman asking if she could vacuum their house a week ago. She thought it might be related.

7:09 p.m. A woman called in to report that she was afraid to go home after her aggressive 17-year-old daughter pushed her out of the house. The girl was arrested for assault.

8:07 p.m. Someone on Trumble Creek called in because a criminal had siphoned all the gas out of their car.

The departments responded to 148 calls for service.
