Police Blotter: Laundry Fire, Stolen Electricity

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Tuesday included the following:

10:09 a.m. Someone attempted to light a fire in the laundry room at an RV park in Kalispell.

10:19 a.m. A call was made about a vehicle in the parking lot of a Kalispell business with a broken window.

11:16 a.m. A creature was running at large on Dern Road.

2:19 p.m. Someone called in from Bigfork to say they could smell the heady aroma of marijuana nearby.

3:12 p.m. A 22-year-old Hungry Horse man accidentally shot himself in the eye with a 22-rifle he was carrying. While he was carrying an armload of rifles he slipped on the ice and one fired. The man is in critical condition.

4:01 p.m. A man who has repeatedly exposed himself to children around local schools was arrested after an incident near Peterson School in Kalispell.

11:33 p.m. A Kalispell man was arrested after a routine traffic stop. He had an outstanding bench warrant after failing to appear in court for not taking care of a ticket regarding his barking dog.

3:32 p.m. Deputies responded to a call about a man who was suspiciously parked outside a Jehovah’s Witness church in Bigfork. They found he was stealing electricity with an extension cord he had hooked up to the church. They told him to leave.

The departments responded to 148 calls for service.
