SEELEY LAKE – The Forest Service is taking public comment on the proposed salvage of trees burned last summer by a wildfire near Seeley Lake.
Officials say the comment may be used to further define the salvage work.
It would occur on nearly 2,000 acres, or about 17 percent of the 11,600 acres burned by the Jocko Lakes fire. The land is in the Lolo National Forest.
The Forest Service says comments will be most useful if they’re received before March 21st.
