Police Blotter: Boyfriend Beating, Stuck Cat

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

9:28 a.m. A cat wouldn’t get out of a tree in Evergreen.

2:43 p.m. Tools were taken from a construction site in Bigfork.

3:02 p.m. A man called in because young people were harassing his 16-year-old daughter.

3:56 p.m. Someone smashed a mailbox on Trumble Creek Road.

5:07 p.m. An overly concerned citizen called in because they saw someone, who apparently looked suspicious, driving in their car near the storage units off U.S. Highway 35. Deputies checked on them and they weren’t doing anything weird.

5:19 p.m. Someone called the Sheriff’s Department because a man and his wife got into an argument.

9:35 p.m. Someone threw a rock through the window of a mobile home in Bigfork.

10:17 p.m. Someone broke the passenger window of a vehicle and stole a purse.

11:22 p.m. A woman’s husband came home to find his soon-to-be ex-wife in bed with her new boyfriend. The husband knocked the man’s teeth out, hurt his eye and injured his ribs. The assailant then called the Sheriff’s Department and admitted to the crime. He was taken to jail. The new boyfriend was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

12:47 p.m. A tree fell down in Whitefish. It was removed.

The departments responded to 126 calls for service.
