Police Blotter: Rare Roadkill and an Abused Lawn Ornament

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

8:31 a.m. Someone ran over a bald eagle on U.S. Highway 2.

9:06 a.m. An irate woman went over to her soon-to-be ex-husband’s house, ripped out a metal lawn ornament and keyed his car. She then yelled that she wanted to burn down his house with him in it.

2:00 p.m. Someone called in from Canyon Elementary School to complain about having to walk the children through numerous parked cars and excessive beer strewn all over the road.

3:56 p.m. Someone called in to report that a yellow lab had tried to bite them.

5:45 p.m. Vicious dogs were chasing people on bikes on Dern Road.

6:07 p.m. Skis were stolen from Big Mountain.

6:27 p.m. Deputies told someone who was camping out behind a gas station in Bigfork to hit the road.

11:00 p.m. Deputies counseled an aggressive 11-year-old boy after he hit his unarmed sister.

1:14 a.m. A call was made about an obnoxious man yelling outside a trailer on Conrad Drive. He was gone when deputies arrived.

The departments responded to 135 calls for service.
