Police Blotter: Burning Carpet and Mailbox Demolished

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

12:31 a.m. A Bigfork resident called in because some kids in an older Chevy pickup just blew up his mailbox and drove away.

12:47 a.m. A Eureka Ambulance rolled over on U.S. Highway 93 while en route to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

2:12 a.m. Someone called in from Lakeside to report that some young kids were hanging out on the dock and running in and out of traffic.

2:17 a.m. Some mailboxes were smashed on Whitefish Stage Road.

10 a.m. A man threw water in his wife’s face and accused her of going to bars and leaving with other men. She hit him with her keys.

2:29 p.m. A bullet hole was found in the wall of a Kalispell apartment.

4:10 p.m. Someone on Lore Lake Road was burning their carpet illegally.

6:56 p.m. A Shady Lane resident called in because they saw someone wearing a black sweatshirt walk over to a neighbor’s house and steal the lawnmower. When deputies arrived the 19-year-old man was still there. He was arrested for theft and minor in possession of alcohol.

7:08 p.m. The dogs on Haywire Gulch were barking.

10:50 p.m. A Kalispell resident called in because an ex-caretaker keeps driving by and taking pictures of the house.

The departments responded to 126 calls for service.
