Police Blotter: Stolen Gas Caps and Troublesome Tenant

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

6:32 a.m. There was a wayward log in the intersection of Meridian and U.S. Highway 93.

8:57 a.m. Gas caps were stolen off some machines at a Kalispell business.

11:49 a.m. Graffiti was sprayed on the wall of a Kalispell business.

3:33 p.m. The owner of an Evergreen hotel called in because a troublesome tenant he had just kicked out had threatened to come back tomorrow.

3:44 p.m. A woman was caught stealing things from Kmart.

4:09 p.m. A man called in from Bozeman to say that someone in the Flathead must be using his identity because he had received some parking tickets from Kalispell.

4:26 p.m. Someone called in because they had a weird message on their answering machine.

5:49 p.m. A call was made about a man in the Wal-Mart parking lot sleeping in a disabled vehicle. When deputies arrived the vehicle was gone.

5:49 p.m. A tenant in an apartment complex in Columbia Falls called in to complain about people yelling and hitting walls.

7:12 p.m. A drunken man called in because he wanted to talk to an officer.

9:36 p.m. A pedestrian on Mountain View Drive was side swiped by a vehicle and taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The departments responded to 174 calls for service.
