Police Blotter: School-Hater and Annoying Goose

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

7:36 a.m. Four unlocked vehicles were burglarized on Caroline Road. A rifle, binoculars and change were among the items taken.

8:02 a.m. A terrible driver ran over the Flathead Glassworks sign.

8:09 a.m. A speedometer, CDs and a wallet were taken out of a vehicle on Zimmerman Road.

8:18 a.m. A suspicious person left a voice message with Pleasant Valley Elementary School that said they “hate the school.”

8:33 a.m. A refrigerator in Whitefish caught on fire.

8:52 a.m. A Kalispell woman called in to report that she had discovered credit cards that she had not opened on her credit report. She called back later to retract her claim because she didn’t want to cause any problems for her mom.

11:06 a.m. A resident on Lower Valley Road lives next door to a trouble-making pet goose.

3:35 p.m. A report was made about a man on Helena Flats Road who pulled up and asked an 8-year-old little girl if she wanted a ride.

3:38 p.m. A transient on U.S. Highway 35 was entertaining himself by hitting a fence with a stick. Someone reported him.

6:23 p.m. A man called in because he had some Drano in his eye.

7:27 p.m. A Somers resident called in because they saw a woman take a Ron Paul campaign sign down.

7:39 p.m. There were three loud explosions in Columbia Falls.

9:19 p.m. Old men in Nickel Charlie’s were making the girls nervous.
