Bigfork’s Fierro Signs with Lewis-Clark State Basketball

By Beacon Staff

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State women’s basketball coach Brian Orr has announced the signing of 6-foot-2 post Alyssa Fierro of Bigfork, Mont.

Fierro is a two-time all-state player who averaged 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots per game and helped Bigfork to conference and divisional championships as a junior and senior.

Orr says Fierro’s size and jumping ability make her a prolific shot blocker. He says she can score with her back to the basket and is an excellent rebounder.

Lewis-Clark State is the defending Frontier Conference regular season and tournament champions and have qualified for the NAIA national tournament 12 times in the past 13 seasons.
