Police Blotter: Coffee Robber and Inbox Death Threats

5:46 a.m. A coffee stand in Whitefish was broken into and ransacked. About a half-dozen coffee stands have been burglarized in the last month.

8:51 a.m. Someone in Columbia Falls opened an e-mail message that read, “I know where you live, and I’m coming to kill you.”

8:55 a.m. Someone called in to report that they too received a suspicious e-mail. This one asking for the large sum of $3,500 or face death.

1:46 p.m. Someone from a business on U.S. Highway 2 called in to report that an ex-employee was talking behind their back.

2:51 p.m. Someone else received a death threat in their e-mail inbox.

10:18 p.m. There was an injured and lonely cat at the Hungry Horse ranger station.

10:32 p.m. Someone called in to report that they saw two people in a bronco with black hoodies.

11:17 p.m. Deputies scolded a man who was driving at excessive speeds through his neighborhood with the headlights off.

2:04 a.m. A woman from Bigfork called in to report that when she drove over a pothole her airbag deployed.
