Police Blotter: Vulgar Public Display of Affection

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Thursday included the following:

7:21 a.m. A man pushed a woman and she retaliated by hitting him.

11:25 a.m. A report was made about two horses seen running in a meadow.

1:03 p.m. Someone called in after their 15-year-old daughter tried to kick the door in.

1:43 p.m. An employee at a restaurant in Bigfork set off the alarm because they saw a woman who looked like they were wanted by authorities. The suspect was nothing more than a diner trying to enjoy their meal.

3:20 p.m. Someone called in to report three drunken men causing trouble at the Old Steel Bridge. When deputies responded the caller was gone but the drunks were still there. They weren’t causing any trouble or harassing construction workers.

4:52 p.m. Someone called in from Nicholson Drive to report that someone stole $70 worth of aluminum cans from the side of their house.

6:45 p.m. Someone called in from Ponderosa Estates to report that there were at least dozen kids getting excited and fighting. One of them even had a bat.

7:32 p.m. A Camelot Estates resident called in to complain about a driver who had driven by their house and over the bike path seven times. The same driver had been driving on the bike path all week.

7:36 p.m. A man’s ex-wife took his old red Mazda without asking. It was found, later, behind the Rosebrier in Kalispell.

7:54 p.m. Two people were vomiting and having sex in their vehicle at a gas station in Evergreen.

8:04 p.m. Reportedly, an intoxicated man wearing all black was dumped out of a white vehicle. The caller was worried a car would hit the man. Shortly after, the white car came back and picked the man up.

8:20 p.m. A man angrily berated a flagger on U.S. Highway 93. The flagger asked that the driver be scolded.

9:48 p.m. There was a silent man in a light-gray hoodie sitting on a guardrail near Foys Lake.

10:52 p.m. A woman called in to say that her daughter took her car without asking. She wanted to come to the Sheriff’s Department to fill out and sign a report, but she couldn’t get there because she didn’t’ have a car. She called back later to say her daughter was home and she no longer wanted to fill out a report.

11:43 p.m. Someone called in from Lakeside to say that it sounded like “every dog in town was barking.”

3:07 a.m. A couple was separated for the night after aman threw chairs at a woman and hit a dog during a fight over drugs.
