Search for Escaped Inmates Continues

By Beacon Staff

HELENA – Law enforcement officers were still searching Monday for two women who escaped from the Montana Women’s Prison in Billings over the weekend.

Department of Corrections officials say 31-year-old Jennifer Terrell and 27-year-old Alicia Luke escaped from the prison at 9 a.m. Sunday, while working in the kitchen.

The women went out a door and over a fence while the staff supervisor was assisting two other inmates in another area of the kitchen.

Both women were convicted of nonviolent offenses and were serving two-year sentences for escape, for walking away from prerelease centers.

Their family members have been asked to contact law enforcement if they hear from the women.

Corrections officials said their photographs have also been distributed to the National Criminal Information Center.
