Police Blotter: Malt Liquor Thief and Yelling Neighbors

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

7:07 a.m. A devious grocery store clerk was busted after months of allowing thieves to sneak stolen malt liquor out the back door.

8:02 a.m. Five mailboxes were pummeled on Somers Road.

11:34 a.m. A Kalispell man called in to complain that his ex-girlfriend came over to his home and “verbally assaulted” him.

1:30 p.m. A Kalispell woman called in to say that she had dropped her thermometer on the floor and was worried about the mercury that had spilled all over the floor. She was informed that mercury is no longer used in thermometers.

3:06 p.m. Thin horses live on Whitefish Stage.

3:37 p.m. A man called in from Whitefish to complain about a moose in his backyard.

4:37 p.m. A woman yelled at a 10-year-old boy that had walked through her yard. Upon hearing the yelling, the neighbor came out and began yelling at the woman. The two continued yelling at each other while the boy left.

6:19 p.m. A suspiciously skinny man wearing all black clothing was spotted near Foys Lake.

7:39 p.m. Someone called in from Liberty Street to say only that “something shady is going on.”

10:03 p.m. A tall man wearing all black walked by a Columbia Falls resident’s back door.

10:27 p.m. Many people were standing outside their Evergreen apartments yelling at each other.
