Police Blotter: Nearby Stolen Car and Irate Woman

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

9:46 a.m. Someone reported two suspicious and possibly intoxicated men sitting in their car at the Old Steel Bridge.

11:57 a.m. A woman called in because someone had lobbed a rock through her travel trailer window.

12:02 p.m. A lone black cow was standing in the middle of Whitefish Stage Road.

1:43 p.m. A stolen car was found in the Flathead River. It was damaged and submerged in two-and-a-half feet of water.

2:53 p.m. A toddler was found playing alone in the dirt on the side of the road in Somers. Deputies talked to neighbors until they found someone who recognized the child and helped them find the mother, who was reported to child protective services.

4:32 p.m. Copper was stolen from an electrical substation in Kila.

4:53 p.m. A Columbia Falls woman called in to report that unfamiliar people keep calling and harassing her.

7:08 p.m. A call came in from the Evergreen Fire Station about two men who were fighting near the station. Deputies responded and one man was arrested.

7:34 p.m. Deputies helped a somewhat intoxicated man find his vehicle after he reported it stolen. They found it parked outside the bar he had called from.

9:59 p.m. An intoxicated Lakeside man called in because his sober ex-wife had broken into his home to yell at him and break things. She was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The departments responded to 145 calls for service
