Police Blotter: Shots Heard, Suspicious Tourist

The Kalispell Police and Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Tuesday included the following:

2:20 a.m. A woman claimed she heard nine shots near her Martin City home. She also pointed out a car that was in the ditch. Deputies were unable to find anything suspicious about either situation.

2:32 a.m. Someone broke a window out of a Kalispell woman’s car and stole her purse.

4:20 a.m. A call was made concerning a person wearing all black peeking into the windows of vehicles parked on Shady Lane. The darkly clad man evaded responding deputies.

10:11 a.m. A troubled individual called in because they saw a gunman in a neighboring home looking through the scope of a rifle. Deputies checked on the man who was just innocently practicing with his pellet gun.

11:10 a.m. A caller reported four people who looked as though they may be of “Middle Eastern decent” taking pictures at the Hungry Horse Dam.

11:45 a.m. Someone called in because they saw a trailer without a wheel.

12:23 p.m. A 19-year-old man was arrested after he punched a woman.

2:35 p.m. Deputies were out looking for the driver of a black pickup that had severe road rage. They were unable to find the problematic driver.

7:37 p.m. Two transients were told to go back to their camp after they were busted for panhandling at a Kalispell store.

7:59 p.m. A Whitefish resident called in to report that their expensive dog was stolen off their property.

9:39 p.m. Someone called in from Caroline Road to report that their power washer was stolen out of their yard.

1:42 a.m. A 27-year-old man was taken from a Whitefish bar to North Valley Hospital after he fell six feet and hurt his head.

5:57 a.m. Someone called in from Columbia Falls Stage to report that a man had just thrown gravel at their vehicle.
