Police Blotter: Peacock Fight and Mower Thief Strikes Again

The Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Wednesday included the following:

9:01 a.m. A call came in from Anderson Lane in Evergreen about a bunch of transients in a bus. They had started a fire and strung garbage all over the place. When deputies looked into the situation they found that the property owner had given the group permission to recreate there.

11:51 a.m. A Riverstone Drive woman called the Sheriff’s Department because she needed help getting her utilities hooked up. A deputy helped her out to the best of his abilities.

3:38 p.m. Someone called in because they saw a drunken bicyclist.

3:52 p.m. A criminal stole a mailbox on Witty Lane.

4:19 p.m. A Bigfork resident called in after a naked man yelled at them.

4:42 p.m. Two annoying male peacocks got into a fight on Airport Road.

8:34 p.m. Another riding lawn mower was stolen in Columbia Falls.

8:46 p.m. A seemingly intoxicated woman called in to yell about her smashed windshield. She refused to give her name then hung up.

10:44 p.m. A young lady was cited for eluding officers and numerous other traffic violations after she tried to outrun deputies on her four-wheeler.

11:23 p.m. A Columbia Falls man called in to report that an albino black bear was rooting through his garbage.

12:37 a.m. A woman called in from the Shady Lane area to report that her ex, who she has a restraining order against, just drove through the parking lot where she lives.
