Police Blotter: Wayward Children and Poisoned Cat

The Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Sunday included the following:

1:08 a.m. A woman called in to report that four or five kids were in her yard. She thinks they may have turned her power off. The unidentified children were gone when deputies arrived.

3:52 a.m. A woman called in complaining that her car was keyed while she was at the drive-in movie theater near Columbia Falls.

8:51 a.m. Fish and Game contacted the “bird lady” in hopes that she would take care of a sick owl found on Tamarack Lane.

1:40 p.m. Someone called in from Somers to report that they had heard a man screaming “help” for the past few minutes. Deputies were unable to find the screaming man.

2:16 p.m. A Cedar Drive woman called in to ask how she could find out if her cat has been poisoned.

5:09 p.m. A Lakeside woman called in to report that her daughter stole her debit card.

8:27 p.m. An intoxicated loud-mouthed woman was standing outside her Evergreen home screaming obscenities about her boyfriend. She was declared too drunk to give a story that doesn’t keep changing.
