Police Blotter: Suspicious Book Worm and Nasty Rumors Diffused

The Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Tuesday included the following:

2:15 p.m. Expensive prescription medication was stolen from a residence on Church Drive.

3:45 p.m. A coat, camera, shoes and a cell phone were stolen from a home in Lakeside.

4:49 p.m. Three aggressive people in Columbia Falls were separated after two woman fought and screamed at one another and a man stuck a pellet gun in a woman’s face.

5:05 p.m. A cotton tree on Seventh Avenue West burned for 16 minutes.

6:26 p.m. Someone called in to report a fire that was burning everything. Local fire departments responded and found a man watching over a contained and controlled burn.

6:33 p.m. A Kalispell resident called in to complain about an at large, aggressive and vicious terrier that looks like a pit bull.

6:33 p.m. Two 11-year-old boys got into a fight in Hungry Horse.

7:09 p.m. A mattress in the Columbia Falls dump caught on fire and burned.

7:22 p.m. A woman from Evergreen called in to report that someone had broken into her apartment; opened the fridge and scattered food around the room; trashed the place and stole her penicillin.

7:39 p.m. $20,000 worth of tools and motorcycle parts were stolen from a Kalispell storage unit.

7:49 p.m. A nosy individual called in to report a “suspicious” man who was sitting in his car for the past 30 minutes reading a book.

8:58 p.m. A black lab attacked a collie on Old Steel Bridge Road.

9:35 p.m. A man called in to report that another man has been telling people that he’s been cheating on his girlfriend and trading sex for drugs. He wanted the Sheriff’s Department to know that this never happened.

10:07 p.m. A Hungry Horse resident called in to report that two girls just looked into their car and walked away.
