Police Blotter: World Reportedly Ending and Violent Water Fight

The Flathead County Sheriff’s reports for Monday included the following:

6:52 a.m. A Kalispell woman called in to report that someone broke a window out of her car. The car was in her driveway.

9:38 a.m. An avian lover called in to report a wounded woodpecker.

9:56 Someone on Labrant Drive in Kalispell reported that some trees were stolen. The species of tree was not identified.

10:06 a.m. Deputies responded to a suspicious person’s complaint on a trail near Chubb Lane in Columbia Falls. It turned out to be some lollygagging campers.

12:01 p.m. A deranged man in Coram called 911 to warn authorities that the world was coming to an end.

2:25 p.m. A concerned citizen called in to report that four horses were being neglected. Upon arrival deputies found plenty of hay and water.

3:04 p.m. A 15-year old girl allegedly stole $1,200 from her parents. She was last seen at Kalispell Center Mall.

3:07 p.m. Someone called in to report a trespasser on Cimarron Trail. When deputies arrived the suspicious person was gone but drug paraphernalia was left behind.

3:50 p.m. An inebriated male was reported on the premise of a Kalispell car dealership, but by the time deputies arrived he had moved on to the next watering hole.

4:06 p.m. Someone called to report that a rock had broken a window on Stoner Creek Road in Lakeside.

6:07 p.m. Two male employees at a restaurant in Evergreen got into a verbal altercation after one of them spilt water on the other. Subsequently, the drenched individual cut the other man with a knife. The injured man refused medical attention. The other man left the scene after his employer asked him to go home. The incident is still under investigation.

6:23 p.m. Someone called to report that two men were peeling back boat covers at North Country Auto Marine after closing.

6:26 p.m. A loose dog was corralled behind the fence at Glacier International Airport.

6:47 p.m. A 26-year old male was allegedly spreading rumors at Packer’s Roost. It isn’t clear what he was saying.

8:33 p.m. A man was reported to be drunk and staggering near Evergreen Gas and Deli.

9:10 p.m. A dodge truck was vandalized in the parking lot at Wal-Mart.

9:26 p.m. Deputies responded to a report of three male campers assaulting one male and one female camper over stolen tires. In total there were four cars and about 10 people involved. There were no charges or injuries.

9:38 p.m. There was an attempted burglary at Stillwater Christian School on Willow Glen Drive. Nothing was found missing.

10:08 p.m. Four men in a white truck damaged and then drove around a gate on Foys Lake Road. The men were then reported to have broken into a home. The sheriff’s office said the event is still under investigation. There was no report on what was stolen but the license plate number of the truck was obtained.

11:02 p.m. A woman on Anderson Lane in Evergreen was assaulted.

11:07 p.m. An especially dirty transient was warned for using a shower at the White Birch Motel. Authorities told him that he would be cited if he were caught again.

11:20 p.m. Someone called to report that a white Chevrolet Blazer was stolen. There are no suspects.

3:15 a.m. A gas station attendant at the Holiday gas station in Evergreen notified authorities that two men in dark clothing were breaking into a fireworks stand. When a deputy responded one of the men was already gone while the other took off running. A short foot chase ensued but the deputy was unable to capture the suspect. The deputy then returned to the stand where the getaway car was still parked with $1,500 of loot inside. Authorities have the vehicle in their possession.

The departments responded to 182 calls for service.
