3:24 a.m. Law enforcement suggested that an early morning dialogue between tenter’s come to a dull roar. The two parties relented and a quieter debate took place.

6:01 Smoking brush was reported near Columbia Mountain.

8:09 There was a black cow in the road.

8:48 a.m. Fishy goings was the report in Lakeside. When authorities investigated they found it to be old damage to the dome.

8:56 a.m. Smoldering buckets in Somers caught the eye of a caller at a container site.

9:13 a.m. A ruffian who stole a lawnmower likely kicked him or herself today when the lawnmower was discovered to be broken.

9:44 a.m. Near Kila there was a brown and white horse running loose on the highway.

10:56 a.m. The Kalispell Police Department responded to a parking lot where flames were visible under an old orange car.

12:10 p.m. A cat has taken up residence in a tree. After being stuck there for several days, it still hasn’t come down.

1:09 p.m. A dog was left unattended in a vehicle with the windows rolled up for nearly an hour.

1:58 p.m. Someone in Kalispell wanted to make a fire but didn’t have any wood. So, “like a good neighbor,” they borrowed some without asking.

3:12 p.m. A possible search for a horse thief turned out to be hogwash. The horses were found at the end of a road.

3:14 p.m. A vehicle fire was reported and put out on Whalebone Drive.

3:31 p.m. Smoke was visible from a bridge. It was determined to be a grass fire.

4:23 p.m. A man in Whitefish had a nosebleed.

5:05 p.m. A loud explosion on Foys Lake Road shook a woman’s windows, prompting the Sherrif’s Department to send in backup. It turned out to be more firecracker bandits.

5:24 p.m. Bullet casings and .22 shells found in Bigfork worried a caller.

6:16 p.m. A woman reported that someone she didn’t know was yelling at her child.

6:39 p.m. A sweet old lady called in to report that her dog was stolen. Upon investigation it was determined the woman didn’t have a dog.

7:16 p.m. Several people shooting guns in Columbia Falls agreed it was unsafe after they were caught.

8:26 p.m. Someone reported that a dog was chained to a raft.

9:07 p.m. At a bar in Evergreen a man was challenged to a duel. The instigator was charged with disorderly conduct and jailed on two outstanding warrants.

9:48 p.m. A woman called to complain about a noisy motor scooter that was keeping her awake. The scooter was put away for the night after authorities responded.

9:53 p.m. Someone in Martin City wasn’t pleased that their neighbor was operating an excavator. It was agreed the dig would resume today.

11:06 p.m. An 87-year old woman called in to report that someone was shining red and green lights through her window. The peculiar rays of light turned out to be reflections from her neighbors yard décor.
