Polson City Manager Resigns

POLSON – Polson will soon be advertising for a new city manager.

City Manager Jay Henry submitted his letter of resignation Tuesday and will become city manager in Talent, Ore.

Henry has served in Polson since July 2007. He was Polson’s first city manager after voters in 2006 elected to change from a mayoral form to a charter form of city government.

Henry’s salary in Polson was $65,000. The salary range for the Talent city manger in the city’s 2008-09 budget is $75,000 to $95,000.

Henry was previously community development director for Oregon’s Klamath County and also has been the county’s parks and solid waster director. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Marylhurst University south of Portland.
