By Julius Macker

7:56 a.m. A camera and a purse were reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked on Martin Camp Road.

9:02 a.m. A woman who was on a backpacking trip made it safely home.

9:12 a.m. A bike was stolen from a porch on Park Street in Evergreen.

1:27 p.m. Tricksters in Columbia Falls rearranged the letters on a reader board to spell out “crude” things.

1:40 p.m. A sudden case of amnesia struck a man in Whitefish who apparently couldn’t remember the name of St. Bernard he said was his. Another man who had found the dog wouldn’t release it without a name.

4:13 p.m. A 3-year-old girl called the cops on her mom. The girl claims her mother hits her.

4:51 p.m. A mad woman claimed someone threw poison through her window.

6:36 p.m. Allegedly, a transient was watching a woman while she browsed the lingerie department of an Evergreen store. Then the bum approached the woman and told her that he was shopping for shoes for a friend and, coincidently, her feet happened to be the same size. Convinced, the woman then apparently agreed to try on a pair of shoes. The transient took a knee and placed the woman’s foot in his hands and began to fondle it. By now a security guard noticed the odd display and approached the bum. The bum ran away.

7:43 p.m. Stolen booze got an 18-year-old woman arrested for shoplifting.

11:40 p.m. A woman with long blond hair who was a wearing bikini top fled the scene of a car accident.

1:04 a.m. A suspicious vehicle belonged to the son of the reporting party.

The departments responded to 175 calls for service.
