Police Blotter: Unauthorized Use and Jonesing for a Cigarette

5:32 a.m. A woman with a laceration under her eye said she didn’t remember how she got it.

7:13 a.m. A large rock was used to break a window and gain access to room at Evergreen Elementary School. Nothing was reported missing.

7:41 a.m. A man had a toothache. He was taken to the hospital.

9:38 a.m. A man with a platform parachute was flying through Glacier International Airport’s airspace.

2:26 a.m. A bat bit someone who was then taken to the hospital to get a rabies shot.

3:56 p.m. An underage boy was not allowed to buy cigarettes at a local store. His girlfriend, in dire need of a smoke, yelled at the clerk.

5:41 p.m. A young woman was arrested for shoplifting.

6:10 p.m. Someone on U.S. Highway 93 reported that a $1,500 remote control vehicle stolen.

6:23 p.m. A stolen 1980 Dodge was recovered. But two guns that were inside were missing.

7:54 p.m. A woman fell off her moped.

7:58 p.m. A young man was transported to North Valley Hospital for head injuries he sustained after falling from a bridge in West Glacier.

8:27 p.m. A 12-year-old girl was molested by her grandfather.

9:53 p.m. An intoxicated man fled from authorities on Woodland Drive before they could locate him.

The departments responded to 159 calls for service.
