Police Blotter: Tree Fight and Deer Chase

6:52 a.m. There was a vicious pit bull on Shilo Avenue in Columbia Falls.

8:19 a.m. Someone stole a dog in Somers.

9:16 a.m. Two people traveling by foot were rummaging through mailboxes on Bernard Road.

9:28 a.m. Some pain medication was reported stolen from a home on Sharon Road in Kalispell.

9:54 a.m. An unknown substance poured into someone’s gas tank caused the engine to blow.

11:18 a.m. A Somers man said he was going to start shooting. He didn’t like that another man was trimming trees.

1:45 p.m. A man with a well-trimmed beard, wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans, drove his white minivan up to a person and told them he was canvassing the neighborhood with cleaning solution.

3:26 p.m. A rambling young man confused a Bernard Road woman. The man was also taking notes.

7:51 p.m. A Marion man was pushed.

7:54 p.m. There was a young man chasing deer on a four-wheeler near Helena Flats.

The departments responded to 192 calls for service.
