Wildcat football fans – It’s a great year for a road trip

By Beacon Staff

Four road trips, in fact.

Four big away games like those on the Wildcat football schedule are a big hill to climb…and I can’t wait to see how they respond.

The first part of the climb happens on Sept 13 in Butte, where the Cats face Butte Central. After a few weeks at home, the second part of the hill climb happens in Libby on Oct 3.

Without taking a break at their own home field, the third pitch comes on Oct 10 at Polson.

And finally, at the end of the season after a visit from Bigfork…the climax we look forward to every year.

Yep, a visit to Whitefish, which returns a pile of starters. The season finale in Whitefish is on Oct 24.

If you can’t make it out of town to see the Cats, stop by the high school on Friday nights when the lights are on. They’ll be glad to hear you in the stands, cheering them on against Browning on Sept 5, Stevensville on Sept 19, Ronan on Sept 26 and Bigfork on Oct 17.

I hope to see you there, Wildcat fans. It’s gonna be a great fall on the football field.

All games start at 7pm.
