Police Blotter: Fake Weed and Missing Pants

1:59 a.m. A woman thought she found a sack of weed. But when deputies examined the green stuff, it was determined that it only smelled like pot, but was not. The bag and its contents were destroyed.

2:34 a.m. Someone called authorities to tell them that their drunken brother was yelling at him for no apparent reason.

4:42 a.m. A woman thinks someone drugged her cocktail Saturday night. She said she didn’t feel good on Sunday.

8:15 a.m. It’s not certain what two teenage boys were doing while carrying a rifle near McNannamy Draw.

8:36 a.m. A resident on Pine Bench in Columbia Falls has been staying up later than usual. Teenagers, the caller said, are partying at all hours of the night and, to make matters worse, they are shooting guns too.

9:34 a.m. A man in a green shirt appeared to be drunk, and possibly not wearing pants, according to a caller who spotted him lying in the grass of their Conrad Drive yard.

10:37 a.m. A motorcycle was stolen from a motorcycle shop.

11:47 a.m. Someone or something was bitten by a cat on Willow Glen Drive in Kalispell.

11:54 a.m. A woman at a Coram gas station became very upset when she couldn’t buy gas. She became even more upset after asked the clerk why there weren’t any signs to indicate that the pumps were broken.

3:39 p.m. A woman left her cat at a Lakeside brewery. When she returned to retrieve the cat it was at the grocery store.

4:51 p.m. In Columbia Falls, someone was shooting a .22 in their backyard while their children stood nearby. The caller said they knew it was legal to shoot the gun, but thought it was stupid to shoot the gun so close to kids.

5:05 p.m. A black bear was trying to get into a dumpster near a Bigfork cookie shop.

5:13 p.m. A mountain lion was prowling near Blanchard View Drive in Whitefish.

7:29 p.m. Five pesky kids kept knocking on the door of a Sunnybrook Lane home.

7:59 p.m. A 10-year-old boy was caught stealing.

3:17 a.m. An elderly woman was walking down Helena Flats Road.

The departments responded to 121 calls for service.
