Police Blotter: Bad Headache and Cat vs. Potato Chips

9:02 a..m. Someone working in Bigfork called in to report that they had a headache.

12:50 p.m. The owner of a car that was towed is refusing to pay the bill.

1:13 p.m. An elderly man in Columbia Falls was passed out in his car with his mouth wide open.

4:23 p.m. Two calves were tied to a tree in Somers.

4:23 p.m. A man suspected of fraud is missing. He has warrants out for his arrest, but they are non-extraditable.

6 p.m. An inebriated man smashed his girlfriend’s windshield.

7:02 p.m. A black truck was seen chasing a motorcycle on U.S. Highway 93. Once the vehicles reached the light at the intersection of Highway 93 and Highway 82, a loud verbal altercation ensued.

9:36 p.m. A woman thought she heard “rustling” in the field behind her property.

11:30 p.m. Firefighters freed a feline that had caught its head in a potato chip bag and another, larger, plastic bag. Initially, it was thought that the cat was trapped in a burlap sack.

The departments responded to 156 calls for service.
