Police Blotter: Threatened and Robbed at Gun Point

11:32 a.m. A fire on Lore Lake Road was actually a “non-working fire.”

12:18 p.m. A mailbox on 15th Street East in Columbia Falls was blown up.

2:47 p.m. Someone called in about a flatbed trailer with a backhoe on it. Apparently, it’s been parked in the same place for weeks.

4:25 p.m. A 26-year-old man was arrested for assault with a weapon after he threatened to shoot his 24-year-old girlfriend with a rifle and a bow. He also, allegedly, strangled her, hit her with the gun and poked her with an arrow.

5:13 p.m. According to a woman on Riverside Drive, there was a younger man running around acting like a “monkey.” He was trespassing on her property.

5:17 p.m. Eight kids were throwing rocks at hikers north of the lookout at Lone Pine State Park.

6:22 p.m. Near Deer Foot Trail in Bigfork a woman reported that hang gliders are continually landing on her property.

6:46 p.m. A woman who was trying to break up a fight in Evergreen got punched.

8:20 p.m. A very intoxicated woman was staggering all over Willow Glen Drive. Eventually she decided to sit down in the middle of the road and wait for a ride. A sheriff’s deputy took her home.

9:39 p.m. A very angry man slammed the door of a bathroom so hard it shook the structure of the Hungry Horse resort he was staying at.

1:25 a.m. A man who was dressed in all black robbed an Evergreen casino. Allegedly, he held a female employee at gunpoint, asked for the money and then locked her in the bathroom. Somehow she got out, hit the panic button and called 911. The robber, who fled by foot, made out with $3,500.

The departments responded to 141 calls for service.
