Police Blotter: Youngsters Playing Hooky and Camaro Found After 14 Years

1:58 a.m. A sheriff’s deputy, who pulled into the wrong driveway in Somers, ended up backing his patrol car into an embankment.

7:25 a.m. Someone who lives near the train yard in Whitefish is upset because they hear train whistles in the middle of the night.

7:57 a.m. A portable toilet was damaged over the weekend.

8:23 a.m. A hiker in the Bob Marshal Wilderness hasn’t returned. It’s not the first time the man has done it either. His wife is worried because, once again, he didn’t tell her when or where he would come out.

11:25 a.m. Someone is putting nails in another person’s driveway on Hockaday Lane in Lakeside.

11:54 a.m. A man found his 1974 hardtop Camaro that appeared to be have been chopped up for parts. It had no motor for starters. The car, which was recovered near the Old Sawmill in Coram, was reported stolen in 1994.

12:27 p.m. A 7- and 9-year-old were hiding out at a park in Bigfork. They didn’t want to go to school.

4:38 p.m. A man, who seemingly came out of nowhere, tried to grab another man who was getting his mail.

5:26 p.m. A teenage boy is going to rake the driveway he tore up with a four-wheeler.

8:58 p.m. A couch surfer was kicked out of a Ridgewood Drive home in Kalispell.

The departments responded to 193 calls for service.
