Police Blotter: Failed Robbery and Dead Skunk

8:29 a.m. A weapon and a computer were reported stolen from a home west of Whitefish.

10:37 a.m. A repossessed car was damaged. The former owners broke taillights and may have even tried to light it on fire.

10:39 a.m. A contractor is accused of stealing building supplies.

11:28 a.m. There was an injured cat in Coram.

11:39 a.m. There was a custody dispute between a man, woman and child.

11:48 p.m. A lock box was stolen. There is a suspect.

1:58 p.m. A woman brandished what looked like a semi-automatic gun at a local gas station and then demanded money. She left without taking anything and was arrested five minutes later when she was pulled over in a nearby parking lot.

3:27 p.m. Someone misplaced a vehicle in the Kalispell area.

3:29 p.m. Someone suspects that a person is living in their barn on Montana Highway 35.

3:34 p.m. A battery charger was stolen out of a front yard.

3:38 p.m. Older boys with foul mouths were throwing rocks near a 5-year-old girl and her friend.

6:11 p.m. An elderly man was attacked by a pit bull.

7:22 p.m. Two teenage boys were going to blows.

10:27 p.m. Someone called in to report a skunk that was chasing animals. A short time later the caller requested that the animal warden retrieve the skunk’s carcass.

11:26 p.m. Two men were fighting over a woman near Angel Point in Lakeside.

11:42 p.m. A man who spent the night in jail for misdemeanor assault came home to find his home burglarized.

12:27 p.m. A man who kicked a woman in the head was taken to jail for aggravated assault.

The departments responded to 186 calls for service.
