Police Blotter: 3-Year-Old Escape and Missing Grass

2:58 a.m. Someone ducked inside an apartment after they saw a deputy roll by.

11:37 a.m. Someone stole a $3,700 saw from a home on Walking Coyote Lane.

2:36 p.m. Someone, who was drinking near the Huckleberry Patch, threw a full beer can out of their car window.

4:30 p.m. A bible was stolen from an unlocked car in Kalispell.

5:36 p.m. A dog appeared to be walking awkwardly and was bandaged in some sort of weird cloth. The weird cloth was just garbage.

5:49 p.m. A woman called in to report the theft of grass. Her neighbor mowed her part of the easement and she was upset about it.

6:57 p.m. A 3-year-old boy escaped from what was reported to be a “child-proof home.” He was found a block away unharmed.

7:53 p.m. A man a on a motorcycle allegedly drove by a teenage girl and tried to punch her. Then a car with two people in it followed the girl and her friends. Eventually, a girl had an asthma attack.

7:55 p.m. Kids were riding their bikes into garage doors on Sunrise Terrace in Bigfork.

9 p.m. A man, who had drank eight or nine beers at a Lore Lake Road home, went looking for a gun. A woman in the house had hid them, so the man got in his car and sped off. A short time later he was in jail for DUI.

3:26 a.m. A man scaled the wall of an apartment building on Spokane Avenue in Whitefish and looked inside a window.

The departments responded to 172 calls for service.
