Police Blotter: Caught in the Act and Pear Thieves

12:27 a.m. After a divorced couple exchanged custody of a child in Columbia Falls, the woman threw a brick at the man’s car.

4:44 a.m. Deputies told a 23-year-old Kalispell man to sober up and go to bed.

4:54 a.m. A man said he saw three or four shadows outside his Kings Way home. He thought they were people.

8:11 a.m. Gunshots were heard on Gunsite Loop in Kalispell.

8:58 a.m. Martin City hooligans wrapped a car in Saran Wrap and sprayed Cheese Whiz all over it.

10:39 a.m. Wanted: a man driving a blue Ford Taurus who beheaded a whitetail buck north of a hotel on U.S. Highway 93 in Somers.

2:35 p.m A pear tree on Fox Hill Road was completely stripped of its pears.

4:00 p.m. A low-flying helicopter buzzed Creston Hatchery Road.

5:36 p.m. A man was caught urinating in public by his Klondike Loop neighbor in Somers. The incident was recorded with a video camera.

8:05 p.m. Again, someone near Columbia Mountain reported seeing a strange light on a hillside.

9:16 p.m. A man was bloodied after a fight on Spotted Bear Road in Martin City.

9:58 p.m. County signs headed toward Whitefish Mountain Resort had stickers on them that read, “Big Mountain.”

2:10 a.m. Two men, who were walking down Riverside Road in Creston, were thought to be suspicious. One of them was sporting a backpack.

The departments responded to 130 calls for service.
