Police Blotter: Stolen Property and Brought Back to Life

7:23 a.m. A deputy gave a man a ride to the auto parts store to get a part to fix his car. When the deputy found the man, he was asleep in his car.

1:32 p.m. A Mission Way man in Kalispell reported the theft of $2,000 from his wallet. The money was left in his unlocked car.

2:49 p.m. A green truck headed eastbound on Highway 82 was losing its load.

3:48 p.m. Mail was taken from a box at the corner of Farm to Market and Tally Lake Roads.

4:36 p.m. An inmate at the Flathead County Justice Center in Kalispell reported the theft of a personal item. It’s not certain what was stolen; inmates are only allowed a few personal items, such as: a toothbrush, toothpaste, clothes, or perhaps a candy bar.

4:40 p.m. A woman said a man parked in a truck near her Forest Drive home in Evergreen was taking pictures of her.

5:12 p.m. A car ignited in a bank parking lot on First Avenue West in Kalispell. It was extinguished.

6:16 p.m. A 10-year-old girl hit her head on some sort of plate and was bleeding. She was taken to the hospital.

6:58 p.m. A good Samaritan administered CPR and revived a person on Sixth Street West in Whitefish. The person, who initially had no pulse, declined to be transported to the hospital.

7:39 p.m. A man that looked like a rock thief on Highway 93 South turned out to be on the job.

9:41 p.m. A very intoxicated man, whose van was in the ditch on Somers Stage Road, was knocking on doors in the area. Deputies arrived and he was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

12:05 a.m. Nothing was too out of the ordinary at a carpet cleaning company, that is, until an employee of the U.S. Highway 2 business noticed a door to a van was missing.

The departments responded to 140 calls for service.
