Police Blotter: Back on the Street and Robbed at Gunpoint

8:35 a.m. A rock somehow made it through a window on Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls.

9:26 a.m. Transients have taken over an abandoned home on Nicholson Drive in Evergreen. There is no running water, working heat, or sewer system. The Health Department thinks it is a health hazard.

10:11 a.m. For once, neighbors are solving a problem on their own. Someone’s dog attacked and killed their neighbor’s pooch. The two parties, though, have agreed to settle the problem civilly.

1:24 p.m. The animal warden rescued a kitten without a mother near Angel Point in Lakeside.

2:58 p.m. A 52-year-old man in Columbia Falls fell and was taken to the hospital.

3:23 p.m. The same was true for an 84-year-old female in Kalispell.

3:54 p.m. A Coram woman thinks her neighbor is illegally cutting trees on her property.

7:33 p.m. A gas station attendant in Somers reported seeing a man with a tan ball cap and blue jeans walking south on U.S. Highway 93. She said he also had a ponytail and a bottle of booze in hand.

12:24 a.m. Someone heard six rapid fire gunshots in the parking lot of a Columbia Falls bar.

2:12 a.m. A man entered through the back door of an Evergreen casino wearing a dark mask and wielding a gun. He then grabbed an employee, shoved her to the ground, and demanded money at gunpoint. Then he locked her in the men’s bathroom and made his getaway. Authorities believe the man is between 6’1”- 6’3” tall and of a medium build.

The departments responded to 160 calls for service.
