Police Blotter: Dog Threat and Punched in the Face

12:31 a.m. A man shining a spotlight through the window of a Jellison Road home was not deliberately trying to annoy his neighbor. Actually, he was working on his truck.

2:36 a.m. A motorcycle that caused a disturbance between Columbia Falls and Whitefish could not be found.

8:20 a.m. A woman’s trash was rifled through.

8:49 a.m. There was a problem between a reporting party’s daughter and her estranged husband.

9:38 a.m. Two black mules were walking east down Church Drive.

10:31 a.m. A woman on Bowdish Woods Road asked a man not to hunt so closely to her home. He said he was going to shoot her dogs.

10:38 a.m. There was a smoldering fire atop a mountain near Wild Bill Road.

4:41 p.m. A 14-year-old didn’t come home on time.

5:55 p.m. A man sitting in his truck, waiting for deer to come out of the brush, was ticketed for trespassing. It’s also not legal to shoot game from a vehicle.

6:54 p.m. A 20-year-old woman, who was cut off by a woman driving a black Ford Explorer, was subsequently pulled from her vehicle and punched in the face by the woman driving the black SUV.

7:19 p.m. A cat vomited up blood.

7:48 p.m. A Marion man supposedly lost his gun while hunting near Crystal Creek.

7:59 p.m. A deputy moved a white bike off the road. It was sitting at the top of a hill.

The departments responded to 126 calls for service.
