By Beacon Staff

HELENA – Economic worries are the biggest issue for Montana voters.

Exit polls for The Associated Press and television networks show that half of Montana voters say the economy is the most important issue facing the country.

More than eight in 10 voters are worried about the direction of the nation’s economy in the next year.

Exit polling also showed that more than six in 10 Montana voters had decided how they would vote in the presidential race before September.
