FVCC instructors have expanded options for an upcoming semester abroad program in Venice, Italy, providing more economical and less time-consuming alternatives to study and explore the famous city. The program has been broken into two half-semesters, and, in addition, will offer an 12-day trip in April, according to a press release from the college.

The college currently has limited openings for both semesters. The first half-semester will take place Jan. 8 – March 8. The all-inclusive cost of $5,500 includes travel, accommodations, tuition and food allowance. The second half-semester will take place March 8 – May 8. The cost of $7,000 covers the same expenses with the addition of an eight-day tour of Urbino, Assisi, Siena and Florence.

Students can earn up to nine credits for each half-semester. They will be housed in private apartments equipped with full kitchens where they will prepare their own meals, and classes will be divided into month-long modules.

In addition, FVCC is offering a 12-day tour of Venice April 2-13, led by FVCC Art Director John Rawlings and FVCC Adjunct Painting Instructor Susan Guthrie. The cost of the trip is $2,450 and includes airfare, accommodation with full breakfasts at Hotel Piave and transfer to and from Marco Polo Airport. A deposit of $500 is due November 26.
