MISSOULA – It’s another Cat-Griz game.

Montana received the No. 4 seed in the 2008 Division I Football Championship playoffs and will host the Texas State Bobcats on Saturday at noon in the first round of the playoffs.

The Grizzlies (11-1) won the 1995 and 2001 national championship and are making their 16th straight appearance and 19th overall.

The Texas State Bobcats (8-4) clinched the automatic bid from the Southland by beating Sam Houston State 48-45 in overtime on Saturday.

Montana shared the Big Sky Conference championship with Weber State (9-3) with 7-1 league records, but Weber State received the automatic bid to the playoffs. The Wildcats, who lost Saturday at home to Eastern Washington, will travel to Cal Poly (8-2) Saturday.

The winner of the Weber State-Cal Poly game would play the winner of the UM-Texas State contest on Dec. 6 in the second round.

No. 1-ranked James Madison earned the top seed for the playoffs, followed by Appalachian State, Northern Iowa and Montana.
