Bipartisan Chocolate

By Beacon Staff

The Flathead County Republican Women have found something with appeal across party lines: chocolate.

The group’s 24th-annual Chocolate Extravaganza is tomorrow at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell. It starts at 11:30 a.m. and includes a buffet lunch, samples of chocolate entries from both amateur and professional chefs, live music, and a style show of fashions from Fawn Boutique and jewelry from Wheelers and Icandi. There will also be a raffle for Apple Trolley and Impress Me! specialty gift baskets. Valet parking will be provided at the Hilton.

“This event draws people from every political persuasion,” according to the group’s press release. “When it comes to chocolate addiction, there are just as many Democrats and Independents as there are Republicans.”

Tickets are $18 and are available from any club member. Reservations can be made by calling Pamala Kaspersen at 837-4428 or Cindy Friedman, 257-8960.
