McGrath Calls for County Attorney to Resign

By Beacon Staff

BILLINGS – Attorney General Mike McGrath has called for Carbon County Attorney Robert Eddleman to resign because he has been indicted on federal drug charges.

Eddleman and Terri Jabs Kurth are accused of hosting cocaine parties at their homes in Billings and Red Lodge. They were indicted Wednesday and are scheduled to make an initial court appearance next Tuesday.

McGrath says Eddleman can’t function as a prosecutor while he’s under federal indictment.

Carbon County Commissioner John Prinkki says Eddleman informed the council of the indictment during their regular meeting Thursday morning. Prinkki says as far as he knows, unless Eddleman is found guilty, the commission has no reason to get rid of him.

Eddleman has said he is not guilty and will fight the charges.
