COLUMBIA FALLS – Plum Creek Timber Co. has promoted a manager to a vice presidency overseeing the company’s 10 manufacturing operations and all of Plum Creek’s Montana timberlands.
Tom Ray has been a Plum Creek manager in Columbia Falls and will remain there in his new position.
Ray joined Plum Creek in 2001 after working for the Georgia-Pacific wood products company. He attended Oregon State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in forest engineering.
Plum Creek spokeswoman Kathy Budinick says the vice presidency is a new position.
Seattle-based Plum Creek is the nation’s largest owner of private land. The company’s 10 manufacturing facilities in the Northwest make wood products.
