Missoula Police Kill Man in Gunfight

MISSOULA – A man is dead following a gunfight with city police in Missoula.

Missoula police officers traded shots with the unidentified 46-year old man after trying to arrest him on an unspecified felony warrant early Sunday morning.

A statement from Missoula Assistant Police Chief Mike Brady says the man was on a nature trail in the city when the shooting occurred. He says no officers were injured.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident. The city police officers involved are on paid administrative leave.
