TV Coverage of Legislature Expands

By Beacon Staff

HELENA – Montana’s legislative session opens on Monday, and people statewide will have an expanded opportunity to monitor it.

The state Legislative Services Division says TV coverage has been expanded to cable channels in 51 Montana communities, up from 25 communities in the past.

In addition, the division plans audio streaming of the Legislature’s work. Video streaming of House and Senate floor sessions is planned, as well.

Regular sessions of the Legislature take place every other year and last about 3½ months.
