Funny Smell and Press-on Nails

8:33 a.m. Two juvenile males from Great Falls were arrested in connection with a burglary of an Ashley Lake Road cabin. Reportedly, the law showed up and found the door to the cabin ajar. There was a car parked in a driveway. Deputies located two males shortly afterward. One of them had the keys to the parked car in his pocket.

9:24 a.m. An 11-year-old girl was booked for stealing press-on nails from her aunt.

9:52 a.m. The mother of a 17-year-old boy called authorities because the boy’s ex-girlfriend, who had filed a restraining order against him, wouldn’t quit calling.

11:47 a.m. A 14-year-old boy on Dutter Lane received a text message from another youth stating his desire to break every bone in the boy’s body.

11:59 a.m. A Skyles Lane man in Whitefish said he received three sexually explicit phone calls before noon.

1:35 p.m. A 92-year-old-woman and her 47-year-old daughter had an argument. Apparently, the woman’s daughter thought she should be more cautious.

1:40 p.m. The victim of a theft called authorities with the whereabouts of the suspect.

3:56 p.m. A 21-month-old child accidentally called 911.

5:45 p.m. A man who stole several guitars from an Evergreen pawnshop earlier this week was arrested.

5:52 p.m. A clerk confiscated a credit card from a customer at a gas station west of Kalispell. The card may have been stolen.

7:07 p.m. A 40-year-old man, who had another man’s wallet in his pocket, was talking about suicide at the emergency room. He had been drinking.

9:49 p.m. A woman said that a bullet shattered the back window of her car. Deputies investigated and determined that it wasn’t a bullet, but the window was definitely shattered.

11:55 p.m. A woman showed up at a man’s house and started vandalizing his house and car, hit him and then left.

2:28 p.m. A funny smell at a motel on Montana Highway 35 turned out to be marijuana smoke. Authorities arrived, but the drugs were gone. Someone was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The departments responded to 129 calls for service.
