Lost Dog and Shot in Hand

1:39 a.m. All is fine in Bigfork.

2:53 a.m. A horse was corralled on Brunner Road.

9:47 a.m. An elderly woman at an assisted living facility received a piece of suspicious mail. It was a scam.

9:58 a.m. Someone at a motel was bitten by a cat. The cat was impounded.

10:08 a.m. A shotgun was found near Battle Hollow in Somers.

10:26 a.m. A fake ID was confiscated.

2:18 p.m. An argument in a car between two people was loud enough to warrant a call to authorities. They worked it out.

4 p.m. An elderly couple rolled their car. It happened in the canyon. Everyone, though, was OK.

6:39 p.m. Someone called dispatch because they wanted the telephone number for the police station in Dallas.

7:55 p.m. A man received a call from his neighbor stating that someone was in his yard shining a flashlight. It turned out to be another neighbor who was looking for a dog.

7:57 p.m. A man and his wife were at each other’s throats, or so the woman claims. He denies it.

9:01 p.m. Someone said his or her bedroom light was smoking. The light, which was actually fluorescent, had blown.

11:50 p.m. Someone threw a chair through a window at a motel.

11:55 p.m. A 16-year-old male shot himself in the hand with a gun. Apparently he had picked it up and a round discharged.

The departments responded to 147 calls for service.
