Polson Hospital CEO Retiring After 19 Years

POLSON – John Glueckert, the president and CEO of St. Joseph Medical Center in Ronan, is retiring after 19 years.

Glueckert has run the hospital since it was purchased by the Sisters of Providence. He plans to step down on Feb. 27.

During his tenure, Glueckert oversaw an $11.5 million modernization and 60,000-square-foot addition to the hospital, which was built in 1959. He also oversaw the construction of a 30,000-square-foot assisted living facility, an upgrade of the emergency room and development of a chemotherapy clinic, as well as many equipment upgrades.

Glueckert also served as Polson’s mayor from 1994 to 1998.
