A high-speed car chase in Kalispell Wednesday night ended with a man crashing his vehicle and being transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The driver rolled his silver Mitsubishi with California plates at the intersection of Bald Rock Road and Rhodes Draw. The suspect was able to at times to evade police by reaching speeds estimated by officers of over 125 mph.

The chase began when officers responded to a report of vehicle racing on Farm to Market Road at 10:04 p.m. The two vehicles involved were believed to be a silver hatchback and a smaller SUV or pickup.

Two males were in the Mitsubishi when it crashed. The driver was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. The passenger was uninjured in the crash. It is unknown what charges the driver faces at this time.

The vehicle suffered extensive damages and Flathead County Sherriff Mike Meehan said the suspect is lucky to be alive.
