Injured Eagle and Bitter Divorce

12:10 a.m. A woman on Bear Trail in Whitefish complained about a man at her door. The woman knew the suspect and asked him to leave. The man left and the complaint was canceled.

12:13 a.m. A suspicious man jumped from a tree into a slough on Lower Valley Road. The resident went out to locate the suspect but couldn’t find him. Officers responded and they too couldn’t locate anyone.

12:46 a.m. An entertainment center, for sale at a garage sale earlier in the day, was taken from a yard on Highway 2 East in Evergreen.

1:03 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Conn Road. The driver had gotten stuck in the ditch in front of someone’s house. The driver was able to free his car.

2:04 a.m. A gunshot was heard on Mountain View Drive in Evergreen. Officers were unable to locate anyone.

3:37 a.m. A man had to call a wrecker to get his vehicle out from in front of a house on Highway 35.

9:24 a.m. A man staying at a local hotel was having difficulty breathing and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

9:52 a.m. A woman reported a break-in attempt on Trillium Way. The woman thought someone was in her garage. In actuality, it was someone trying to serve civil papers and officers found that the person had not entered the garage.

11:13 a.m. There was an injured bald eagle on Whitefish Stage. The animal was sitting on a fence unable to fly. The case was referred to the Fish and Game.

12:33 p.m. A man pulling a snowmobile trailer hit a sign at a restaurant in Columbia Heights.

1:46 p.m. A car broke down on Tahoe Road.

2:12 p.m. A 16-year-old male hit his head on a shelf and was suffering from blurred vision. He was transported to the hospital.

2:54 p.m. A snowboard was reported stolen at Big Mountain.

2:54 p.m. A set of skis was reported stolen at Big Mountain.

2:59 p.m. A husband and wife, who are divorcing, got into an altercation on Highway 93 North in Whitefish. The husband had thrown his wife’s belongings out in the yard. Officers calmed both parties down and the wife left. She will be obtaining a U-Haul and collecting her things later.

3:35 p.m. A 45-year-old female and another woman were arguing about children on Old Highway 2 in Martin City.

4:10 p.m. It was reported that a two boys, 11 and 12, were trying to break into a garage on Michels Slough in Columbia Falls. Officers investigated and the report was unfounded.

4:27 p.m. The West Valley Fire Department responded to a fire on Hunt Lane. A small fire had developed near the wood stove.

4:50 p.m. A 16-year-old female was citing for shoplifting after taking cosmetics from Wal-Mart.

5:28 p.m. Garbage was flying out of the back of a truck on Highway 93 North.

6:28 p.m. A vehicle slid into the water near Lakeside Marina. The occupants were able to escape the vehicle.

6:47 p.m. There was a one-car rollover in Hungry Horse.

7:21 p.m. A 39-year-old male was going through methamphetamine detoxification on Highway 2 in Evergreen.

7:47 p.m. A 72-year old female was taken to the hospital after suffering an allergic reaction.

11:53 p.m. A female, going through a divorce, was taken to the hospital after taking 30 sleeping pills.

12:20 a.m. A 17-year-old female, who was vomiting, was transported to KRMC.

3:45 a.m. Three unwanted males fled from a driveway on Parkside Drive in Evergreen. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.
