Officials will hold a public informational meeting Thursday to discuss the proposed site of a prerelease center in Kalispell.
A 12-member local prerelease committee and representatives from Community, Counseling and Correctional Services, a Butte-based company contracted to build and run the facility, will be on hand to answer questions and hear concerns from local residents about the project.
At a public comment forum for the center held last May, committee members received a largely positive response from the approximately 30 people in attendance.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 at the pre-release center’s proposed location, the old Montana Department of Health and Human Services building at 2282 U.S. 93 South.
